About

I am the type of person who is easily amused and appreciates the little things in life. I have too many interests and not enough time to become an expert in all of them. I love to work hard, play hard, laugh hard and I would be nowhere without the best family and friends in the world.

This blog comes at a point in my life of true new beginnings. In the fall of 2008, I moved on from my first career of 4-1/2 years and took with me huge amounts of education, resources, and relationships, and went in search of new challenges. Fortunately, I have a very entrepeneurial husband who gently prodded me along in social media while I was trying to discover my own “next big thing.” Turns out, the next big thing was that I joined him as a partner in our company, Chesapeake ProCon, and have slowly been building our professional consulting services in PR, marketing, and web content development with clients in the marine and tourism industries. I love it–I write, I network, I conduct interviews, I populate websites with content, I learn something new every day.

In addition to the day job (which is often also a nights and weekends job), I am a runner. I love sailing, kayaking, cooking, gardening, writing poetry, reading, dancing, entertaining, organizing, biking, knitting, Pilates…the list of things I love but am far from doing on a daily basis is a long one. Running is one of the few things I do on a regular basis. This year I am on a marathon mission and so I run a lot. When I run, my mind wanders and I have fun thinking, and I’m excited to finally be sharing the things I think about.

They might be simple, profound, stupid, funny, random, but I invite you to join me in some every day thoughts.

I’ll also share what I can on Twitter and more professionally on LinkedIn and our CPC Blog.
