This blog started only about a month ago because I suddenly found myself with all sorts of things I wanted to write about and I’ll admit many of them have been focused on running because I’ve been doing a lot of that lately. What has happened though is that blogging has turned into a much bigger passion itself in addition to part of my business and the line between work and play is somewhat blurry, but that’s ok.
I think of writing as fun, cathartic, educational, informative, an opportunity to research and share what I find, and a way to let different thoughts and personalities out of my head. In blog format writing is also interactive because you can post your own comments, arguments, and ideas in response to what I have to say. This blog has certainly been a random assortment of thoughts with some great feedback as well and I look forward to continuing the dialogue on whatever comes our way.
However, I have found that my passion for running and everything related to training, fitness, and health is potentially more than any passerby to this blog of every day thoughts might be interested in. I have plenty to say about the topic and tons to learn which means the more I learn the more I’m going to want to write about it. With the help of my web and tech-savvy husband, we have launched a new site that will be dedicated to health and running and I will do all my running posts on the new site, www.healthandrunning.com. (Shocking URL, huh? We liked it. Check it out, let me know what you think.) Knowing how much I’ll probably write for that site in addition to my work work, means that this site of Every Day Thoughts might become Every Other Day Thoughts, just warning you.
The best part of this new site is that I’m quite excited about having so much to work on. I find it all quite addicting and what better way to go through each day embracing all your passions?
